Official: Switzerland has no law to donate Russia's frozen assets

GENEVA, Jan 27 (PRIME) -- Switzerland has no legal framework to spend Russia's frozen assets to support Ukraine, Minister of State of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs Livia Leu told PRIME on Friday.

"Switzerland respects human rights, and the property right is one of them. We have no legal grounds at the moment to send the Russian assets frozen in the country to Ukraine," Leu said.
